During field work in western Tasmania - KE Leeson

Hi, I am an environmental scientist with a PhD in restoration ecology. I am a former Tasmanian but lived in Melbourne (Australia) for three years before moving to Queensland near the Gold Coast region south of Brisbane in Australia. I have also lived on Vancouver Island, the capital of British Columbia on the west coast of Canada. My main interests are in restoration ecology and broader conservation issues related to flora and fauna.

I enjoy travelling to new and exciting places and whenever I can, attempt to capture some photographs (usually digital images these days) of the areas I visit. A small selection of my images have been uploaded to my Redbubble site. One of my other favourite passions is fine dining and I particularly enjoy eating Thai food. I am yet to learn how to correctly prepare Thai food (which I think is something that can only be done by Thai people) but I am slowly learning every time I do something wrong!
